There are about 1,500 bacteria on just 1 cm of your hand. 30 seconds with hand wash and water will save your life.

In your busy schedules, you might ignore washing hands but it is extremely important and the best times that you must follow a hand wash routine are:


Before, during, and after preparing food

  • Before and after eating food

  • Before and after caring for someone who is sick

  • After using the toilet

  • After blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing

  • After touching an animal, animal feed, or animal waste

  • After handling pet food or pet treats

  • After touching garbage

The 7 steps of hand-washing that should be added to your routine:


Firstly wet your hands and apply enough soap (coin size).

Step 1 - Rub your palms together.

Step 2 - Rub the back of each hand

Step 3- Rub both your hands while interlocking your fingers

Step 4 - Rub the back of your fingers.

Step 5 - Rub thumb in a rotating manner followed by the area between index finger and thumb for both hands

Step 6 - Rub fingertips on palm for both hand

Step 7 - Rub both wrists in a rotating manner

And finally dry with a clean towel/disposable tissue paper.
